VACCINATIONS
Vaccinations
Your puppy will get their first set of shots at about 6 weeks old. We give this first set of shots before you get your puppy. They will need 2 more sets of shots every 4 weeks after the first set. The 3rd set of shots includes their rabies vaccine. We recommend talking to your vet about splitting up this final set of shots to reduce the chance of a unwanted reaction.
Your dog will need a booster every year as recommended by your veterinarian. It is VERY IMPORTANT to limit your puppy’s exposure prior to receiving all their vaccines. Do not take them to dog parks or let them down on the floor in a pet store.
However, it is very important to socialize your dog for their first 16 weeks if you want a well-rounded dog. Our mutual goal is to introduce them to as many new sights, sounds, smells and stimulation as possible without putting them in a situation where they are exposed to health risks.
